Location Spotlight: Mexico Like You’ve Never Seen it Before

Bustling streets, brightly colored houses and taco stands on every corner is just a snapshot of the city of León, Mexico. Driving through the twist and turns, up the hills and back down, bouncing over the speed bumps until you find yourself leaving the hustling city and making your way towards the industrial park. After passing through a roundabout and over a railroad track you’ll find huge warehouses located in Parque Industrial Ecológico de León. Passing building after building you finally arrive at the bright blue, welcoming facility: First Source Worldwide de Mexico.

Let me take you through the wonderful staff located at this location. After a knock on the door, Guadalupe Romo, our office technician opens the door, greets you with a smiling face, and asks you to wait in the lobby.

Then, Yadira Pantoja enters and ushers you to her desk. Yadira joined the team as a customer service associate in August of 2009. Her favorite part of the job is entering orders because she feels as if she’s a part of a very important aspect of the company. She provides support with all local activities as office manager while maintaining the needs of all customers. She also works with the FSW Neenah, WI location to ensure shipments have all the necessary paperwork and products.

Next, you move past the other offices and the conference center and make your way towards the lab. Here you’re greeted by Francisco Padilla. He joined the FSW team in January of 2009. His role of Laboratory Technician and Sales Assistant consists of making trips to visit customers and to work one-on-one with customers to create formulations specific to their needs. His favorite part of the job is when the lab develops something new and the customers start using and loving the products. Francisco also introduces you to Alvarado Diego who’s the current lab intern.

After this you make your way through the lab past the machines and head around back past the inventory toward Hipolito Alba, who is unloading a truck. He started here January of 2009 and is responsible for making sure the correct product goes out on the shipment.

This facility is also assisted by other technical support employees who fly into Mexico from the United States. There is a house located near the warehouse for the technical employees to reside at during their stay.

The Mexico facility began in 2008 to meet the demands of the ever growing leather industry. Leon is a prime location for this warehouse because it is a hotspot for leather tanneries. Since it began, the facility has expanded into many other industries as well including textile, HI&I, etc.  This facility primarily handles dyes and chemicals.

We hope this post has introduced you to our First Source Worldwide de Mexico employees. If you’re interested in a potential job or internship at the Leon, Mexico facility, Milwaukee, WI or Dalton, GA click the picture below to view a list of our current job openings and job application form.
